Early Morning Photo Walk, Dubrovnik, Croatia

I left Don sleeping and headed out at a quarter before 6. The sun is up early in June but the light doesn’t hit the town until it rises over the hillside around 6:10. A cool but comfortable morning it’s a pleasure to stroll the nearly empty town at this hour.

Only the many workers preparing the town for the new day – garbage collectors, street cleaners and so forth, and the supply trucks and trollies coming in to supply the restaurants and markets. Very few tourists out at this hour, lots of cats and pigeons, however. The swallows are as active as ever. They start early go all day and were strong again after dinner.
