Central Serengeti, heavily visited and easily accessible, is also one of the most beautiful regions of the park. In early September 2013 the golden plains and green barked acacia trees glow against a dark sky. And yes, there are animals. While lions and cheetahs are the big draw the area is home to a variety of species.
