Houseboating on Lake Powell – A Rough Start
Day 1 – Wahweap Marina to Gunsight Canyon. Post includes how not to beach the boat.
Day 2 – Gunsight to Oak Canyon
Day 3 – Oak Canyon
A second night at Oak Canyon. Post includes kayaking Secret Canyon.
Day 4 and 5 Oak Canyon to Face Canyon
Post includes camping in Face Canyon and the return back to the marina.
2014 Trip
Day 1 – Wahweap Marina to Gunsight Canyon
Post includes an introduction to the houseboating experience.
Day 2 – Gunsight Canyon to Oak Creek Bay
Day 3 – Oak Creek Bay
Post includes the best sunrise of the trip and a visit to Rainbow Bridge National Monument.
Day 4 – Oak Creek Bay to Rock Creek Bay
Post includes a boat trip up Secret Canyon and a great slot canyon a short distance up Rock Creek Canyon.
Day 5 – Rock Creek Bay to West Canyon
Post includes a hike up Rock Creek Canyon and a stunning sunset.
Day 6 – West Canyon to Wahweap Marina, AZ/UT
