Northern Italy

Highlights

With amazing hiking and fabulous landscapes Northern Italy is a worthy trip destination in itself, especially if you anchor either end with the world class cities of Milan and Venice.

Itinerary

This 18 day trip through Northern Italy in June/July of 2015 started in the picture book coastal villages of Cinque Terre, followed by a short stay in Milan where we picked up a rental car and drove onward to Varenna on Lake Como. After three days on the lake we drove to the Dolomites where we spent the next week day-hiking, using Ortisei and then Cortina as bases. The trip ended with a romantic stay in Venice.
