I got out of bed at 6:30 to hit the streets with my camera. Turns out this is a great hour to explore Mykonos town. The light is soft and there is an interesting mix of those heading home from the bars, maybe stopping in for a souvlaki or other snack on the way, and those cleaning up for the next day. The coffee is already brewing in the coffee shops. This truly is a town that doesnāt sleep.
I wound my way through the maze and ended up at the windmills just in time to catch the early morning glow. While sunset can be great, the light at dawn with the sea behind is also a lovely time with the added benefit that there is hardly a soul at this hour. I ran into just one other photographer.
