Chateau Chenonceau – Loire Valley, France

If you only have time for one Chateau in the Loire Valley, make it Chenonceau. This  16th century chateau has it all – a rich history, an incredible setting with one wing built over the Cher river, museum quality period furnishings, elegant flower arrangements and extensive gardens. On a Wednesday morning in late-February crowds were minimal. Photos allowed without flash.
