After a sweltering but all too short summer in the US we are back in the south of France at our new location, St Etienne de l’Olm, located north of Nimes between the quaint market town of Uzès and Alés, gateway to the Cevennes mountains.

On our way we spent five days in Iceland taking advantage of a great deal on Icelandic Air for flights between the US and Europe with a multiday stopover in Reykjavik. I will be posting entries from that trip momentarily, but first an informative post on the process of obtaining a visa for a long séjour in France.
