A Second Look at the Gardens of Villandry, France

The gardens of Chateau of Villandry are some of the best known and impressive in the Loire Valley – perhaps all of Europe. If you haven’t seen them in a while you may want to consider a second look. In 2008 they opened their stunning Sun Garden, made up of three rooms including a large play area for children.

The Blue Room shimmers in blues, silvers, soft pinks and whites while the high impact Sun Room pulsates with the hot shades of late summer – reds, yellow and oranges. The arrangement of plant material, mostly perennials, is an exquisitely designed diverse interplay of color, texture, height and volume.  A garden not to be missed.
